Finished with your masturbator? Rinse the washable sleeve, clean it with the right method for its material and let it dry completely before putting it away. Your next wank deserves a clean toy, not a discovery.
This routine is for reusable sleeves and strokers. Single-use cups belong in the bin after use, and the powered body of an automatic toy needs different treatment from its removable liner.
Take out the washable parts
Remove a detachable sleeve from its case so you can reach both the inside and outside. Open hinged designs fully. Leave fixed linings in place rather than pulling at glued joins or forcing a toy apart.
On a powered toy, switch it off and unplug it first. Keep the electrical body separate from the wet cleaning work. A removable sleeve makes this much easier: the soft part gets washed, while the controls and charging connection stay dry.
Rinse the washable sleeve promptly after use with cool or lukewarm running water. Let water reach the inner texture and gently remove visible residue with clean fingers. Those raised bumps and ribs need cleaning too; don't leave last night's lube sitting between them.
Soap is not right for every sleeve
This is the one distinction worth getting straight before reaching for a bottle.
- Fleshlight SuperSkin sleeves: rinse with warm water. For a more thorough clean, use Fleshlight's sleeve cleaner and rinse it away. Soap and detergents can damage this material.
- Reusable TENGA toys: use cold or tepid water. A mild, neutral soap is an option; alcohol and harsh cleaners are not.
Similar softness does not mean identical cleaning needs. A bottle labelled “toy cleaner” is not automatically suitable for every stroker, and stronger household disinfectant is not a clever upgrade.

Rinse inside, then let the air in
Rinse away loosened residue and the suitable cleanser you used thoroughly. Drain the water, pat the outside gently with a clean lint-free cloth and leave the sleeve open to air-dry. Use its drying stand if it has one.
An outside that feels dry tells you very little about the channel inside. Give that space time to dry as well, with the case and caps off where they are removable. There is no useful universal timer: a narrow enclosed channel dries differently from a toy that opens flat.
Do not force a sleeve inside out to hurry things along. Some designs open or reverse naturally; others can tear. Leave the hairdryer and boiling water out of the routine too. Gentle drying is less dramatic and much kinder to the toy.
Clean the case without soaking the controls
A separate plain plastic Fleshlight case can be washed with mild soap and water, then rinsed and dried. Keep that soapy routine separate from its soap-free SuperSkin sleeve.
For an automatic stroker, wipe the powered body with a lightly damp cloth and keep water out of buttons, openings and charging connections. Do not dunk the whole unit just because the liner is washable. Let everything dry fully before reconnecting it or charging.
Put it away ready for next time
Once all the parts are dry, put them back together and store the toy somewhere clean, cool and out of direct sunlight. Keep its cable nearby if it uses one. The aim is a toy you can find and use, without a search party or an unwelcome damp smell.
Persistent odour, mould or a damaged sleeve is a reason to stop using it, not cover the problem with fragrance. A replacement sleeve or care accessory may be useful where there is a compatible option.
